The unique vertical-opening nipple design of the Braden Start Nipple helps foster early grain feeding which aids in rumen development with increased size more nutrition absorption ability and earlier microbial action in the rumen. Tests show that this results in more milk and meat production in the long run.
Calves show a strong nursing instinct the first three days after birth and the design of the Braden Start Nipple when attached to the Braden Start Bottle encourages and facilitates eating of dry feed through a bottle. Clean dry feed is efficiently dispensed with no spilled buckets or open feed troughs where contamination can put your valuable calves at risk for disease.
The exclusive design of the rubber snap-on nipple lets the calf get virtually all of the feed with very little spillage. One nipple will generally last for 2-3 calves.
